20 to 30 Bangladeshis are entering India every day due to the collapse of garment industry in changing conditions in Bangladesh. Indian law enforcement agencies are arresting Bangladeshi infiltrators almost every day. Himanta Biswa Sharma, Chief Minister of India's northeastern state of Assam, made such a claim on Wednesday. He said that after the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government, India has arrested 23 people associated with terrorist organizations in Bangladesh. Assam Police STF and NIA conducted a joint operation and arrested them.
